T???V S???D Signs New Agreement As Third-Party Lab for IPEMA

T???V S???D America www.tuvamerica.com and the International Play Equipment Manufacturers Association (IPEMA) have announced a new five-year agreement for the continuation of T???V S???D's current role as third-party testing/certification laboratory. This agreement strengthens the partnership to provide product certification services for public play equipment and surfacing. The two groups have a 15 plus year relationship.

In the interest of playground safety, IPEMA www.ipema.com provides third-party product certification services for U.S. and Canadian public play equipment and safety surfacing materials. The services provide validation of a participant's certification of conformance to one or more of these standards

• ASTM F1487 - Standard Consumer Safety Performance Specification for Playground Equipment for Public Use


• CAN/CSA-Z614 - Children's Play spaces and Equipment


• ASTM F1292 - Standard Specification for Impact Attenuation of Surface Systems Under and Around Playground Equipment


• ASTM F2075 - Standard Specification for Engineered Wood Fiber for Use as a Playground Safety Surface Under and Around Playground Equipment
