LOS ANGELES - Chevy's new Silverado Heavy-Duty pickup truck has earned Motor Trend magazine's 2001 Truck of the Year award. It is the sixth time in seven years that Chevrolet has won the annual vehicle awards from the magazine. According to Ron Zarrella, president of General Motors, North America, the truck was noted for its "do-it-all portfolio of power, passenger room, cargo capacity, feature levels and towing prowess." The Chevrolet heavy-duty pickup line for 2001 includes new three-quarter and one-ton pickups and chassis cabs.
