At Insite Studio, we wanted this Palm Beach Gardens residential estate to make as powerful an impression at night as it does during the day. The landscape architecture design emphasizes both luxury and livability, blending traditional South Florida tropical comfort with a contemporary aesthetic. Specimen-sized curved coconut palms were positioned to create a welcoming sense of place, while a modern palette of upright palms and tropical plants establish the clean, linear structure that complements the home's architecture.

Lighting was central to the design intent. Multiple uplights were added to every palm and specimen tree, producing an even ambient glow that anchors the nighttime experience. The front entry sequence is carefully choreographed: pedestrian bollards guide residents and visitors along a porcelain paver walkway, where illuminated LED bubblers in the entry fountain draw the eye toward the main door. The guest house pool and water features further reinforce this sense of movement and arrival, pulling guests seamlessly from exterior spaces into the home.

In the rear yard, water and fire serve as focal points. The swimming pool was designed to achieve a consistent, even blue glow after dark, while subtle lighting around the firepit deck and step pads provides both orientation and atmosphere. Property boundaries were planted densely with Brazilian Beauty Leaf trees (Calophyllum brasiliense), creating a private green backdrop, while interior palms, strategically lit, become sculptural elements that visually extend the living spaces outdoors. The result is a design that maintains the indoor/outdoor flow and keeps the home feeling connected, cohesive, and alive from sunrise to sunset.
