The towering leporidae invading Lower Manhattan are actually made of white nylon. The inflated and internally lit sculptural rabbits by Australian artist Amanda Parer will also make stops in Houston, Los Angeles and Denver.

If you've ever held a Flemish Giant rabbit, you've experienced holding the world's largest rabbit breed: up to to 2.5 feet long and topping the scale at about 22 pounds. They are an impressive, cuddly ball of fur.

If you're into big rabbits, you'll want to check out Arts Brookfield four-city national tour ("Intrude"), a public art installation by Australian artist Amanda Parer. Intrude features monumental white nylon, inflated and internally lit sculptural rabbits.

Following a preview of the rabbit sculptures in Toronto, Intrude launches at Brookfield Place in lower Manhattan (230 Vesey Street) with seven sculptures on Sunday, April 17, 2016. The New York launch celebrates more than 25 years of Arts Brookfield's animation of nontraditional spaces with arts and cultural experiences that are free and accessible to the public. The installation will continue the tour to Brookfield properties in Houston, Los Angeles and Denver.

For its national tour of Intrude, Arts Brookfield commissioned two giant rabbits"?uone 39 feet high and the other 39 feet long"?uto join the five original rabbit sculptures, which have already brought their joyful spirit to 19 major cities around the globe, including London, Perth, Paris and Boston.

Australian artist Amanda Parer is an artist originally from Sydney but now resides in Tasmania. She has been selected for notable national competitions including five times for the Blake Prize, and for the Glover Prize (2008, 2012, 2013). Amanda has just completed a new light art installation called Fantastic Planet which was commissioned by Winter Lights Festival in London. Her current projects range from developing a new work in collaboration with MIT Boston and working on a full exhibition at Harbor City Gallery in Hong Kong in October 2016, which will include paintings, sculptures, and installation.
