Just as an artist uses paint to create beautiful and inspiring works of art, Scott Hutcheon, of Seasons Landscaping does the same thing, but instead of paint he uses living plants as his medium. Come and see first hand the beauty of living walls at the 2010 Landscape Expo, Oct. 6 – 7, at the Long Beach Convention Center in Long Beach, California.
A licensed landscape architect and entrepreneur, Scott will also be sharing his expertise in living wall design, construction and installation in his seminar, “The Nature of Nature™”: Living Walls on Thursday, October 7th, from 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. This course carries a .5 APLD CEU. Over the past 5 years having been on the forefront of this emerging technology, Scott will talk about the many sustainable benefits of living walls and how this growing market segment can benefit you. To get a taste of what living walls are all about, you can view a short video with Scott at https://www.brightgreenusa.com/video1/video1.html.
After graduating from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in 1998 with a degree in Landscape Architecture and Environmental Design, Scott started up his landscape architecture and development business in Laguna Beach, Calif. His passion for landscaping and the environment evolved into an interest beginning in 2005 in vertical gardens and living roofs. He partnered with Bright Green to manufacture and distribute these unique eco-systems for use in our homes and buildings. Scott demonstrated this concept nationally on the Martha Stewart show.
The 2010 Landscape Expo offers more than 45 educational seminars in eight knowledge tracks with CLCA and APLD CEUs awarded.
