Michael Bernier is the founder and lead designer of Michael Bernier Design, a premier landscape and exterior design firm based in Los Angeles, California. After a prolific career as an advertising Creative Director, Michael discovered his true passion while studying Landscape Architecture at UCLA, marrying his design expertise with his love for the natural world.
Over 15 years as firm principal, designing and managing the installation of well over 100 projects, Michael has seen just about everything! While witnessing the good, as well as all that can - and will - go wrong on a job site, he has a gained a seasoned perspective of what it takes to successfully complete these projects to the delight of his clients.
Wanting to share his knowledge of landscape design and installation with a broader audience, Michael recently launched Think Outside Landscape Design Academy to educate both Do-It-Yourselfers and Landscape Professionals on the finer points of Good Design Principles through online courses and workshops.
