Webinar Description:???,???Do you want to design pest resistant and healthy landscapes that thrive where they are planted? Do you want to reduce pesticide use but maintain a weed and pest free landscape? Consider using Integrated Pest Management principles when designing and maintaining the landscape. This Presentation will discuss the 4 Integrated Pest Management (IPM)principles and how to use them when designing and maintaining a landscape. The presentation will provide resources and examples of how to use each one in the landscape. Common landscape problems will be addressed with examples of how to use IPM to mitigate them without using pesticides. 

Learning Objectives:???,???1. By the end of the presentation attendee will be able to explain the 4 steps to integrated pest management (IPM). ???,???2. Attendee will be able to explain how to design a landscape following principles of IPM and to maximize the benefits of (IPM). ???,???3. Attendee will be able to list resources to use when designing and maintaining a landscape following IPM principles.

Leimone Waite 
Leimone is a full-time faculty member at Shasta College teaching courses in horticulture, arboriculture, landscaping, irrigation, and soils since 1998. For the past 20 years Leimone has served as the Master Gardener coordinator and trainer for Shasta County. Leimone has a Bachelor of Science and two specialty credentials in Agriculture from U.C. Davis and a Masters degree from Cal Poly, SLO is in Horticulture. She is a certified QWEL trainer and is a licensed Pest Control Advisor.
