Members of the American Nursery and Landscape Association (ANLA) recently participated in a Water Wise Survey to examine the assess how businesses were affected by water issues in 2002. A total of 8.5 percent of ANLA members were polled in regard to the issue. The following questions and the respective answers are some of the survey?EUR??,,????'???s key elements: ?EUR??,,????'???? Did dry weather have a direct financial cost to your business? ?EUR??,,????'???? Seventy-six percent of respondents said dry weather played a negative role in their business. ?EUR??,,????'???? Have you changed your business strategies because of dry weather? ?EUR??,,????'???? Fifty-three percent said they created new marketing plans, changed irrigation systems, educated customers on water wise use, and promoted drought-tolerant plants and xeriscaping.
