The Search Is On ASLA Seeks New Vice President Washington, D.C. Under the direction of nominating committee chairman Len Hopper, the ASLA is conducting a nationwide search for the next executive vice president of the organization. Approximately 150 responses have been received from potential candidates in response to the ASLA's blanket solicitation, and of these 150, a field of about 30 qualified candidates have been selected for further review. According to the qualifications adopted by the committee, the new vice president will have "An understanding and affinity for landscape architecture," as well as having a thorough knowledge of the use of technology in an organization. Formal interviews will begin the first two weeks of June and nominating committee member Leroy Battle, ASLA said he believes that the organization may have its new executive vice president as early as July.
