The Lighting Research Center (LRC) at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute will be offering the Landscape Lighting Institute, which addresses the need for practical and comprehensive instruction in landscape lighting. This week of intensive, hands-on instruction will take place October 4 to 8, 1997, and will cover in-depth topics such as planning, design development, technology and equipment, installation, maintenance, plant materials, climate considerations, and client relationships. It is the first course of its kind and will be led by Jan Moyer (See LASN April 1996, "Have You Considered Composite Landscape Lighting Fixtures?"), internationally recognized expert in the landscape lighting field.
