The former site of Austin's Robert Mueller Airport has been transformed into the Mueller Development, a flourishing mixed-use urban village with 140 acres of parks, trails, and open space. Five large parks encircle the community, making up the Mueller Greenway: the Northwest Greenway, Lake Park, the Southwest & Southeast Greenways, and the Zach Scott Greenway. RVi played a vital role in its development, notably the Southeast Greenway and the Southwest Greenway.

The Greenway, recipient of numerous awards from the Texas chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects, offers visitors a host of recreational options. From birdwatching to a farmers market visit, to playgrounds and the first accessible all-wheel concrete pump track in Texas, there is something for everyone. Additionally, a large portion of the Greenway was transformed from the previous airport tarmac and parking lot to a restored Blackland Prairie habitat. This endangered grassland ecosystem - of which less than one percent of the original range remains today - has not been experienced by many Texans. Now, both residents and visitors alike can enjoy a restored native habitat that once blanketed this entire region.

The Greenway is a testament to how long-term commitment, collaborative planning, and dedication to sustainability can produce dynamic greenspaces and lasting stewardship of both the environment and our urban communities.
