The Landscape Expo (TLE), one of the longest running landscape contractor-oriented trade shows in the country, will be held Oct. 12 - 13 at the Long Beach Convention Center in Long Beach, Calif.

For 2011, TLE features an expanded exhibit hall allowing for 20 percent more exhibit space than in 2010. The show also has expanded expo hours giving attendees more time to see, learn and visit!

The Expo will feature exhibitors showcasing items for landscape contractors including: machinery, irrigation supplies, lighting products, fencing, trucks and nurseries.

A variety of seminars and educational programs will also be held during the Expo, with topics including: business management, landscape design, irrigation, lighting, pest control, storm water management, sustainability, tree care, turf management, water harvesting and water features. Seminar attendees can earn Continuing Education Credits (CEU's) with the APLD, DPR, GCSAA, IA, ISA and PLANET (up to 2 credits per seminar).

The Expo will also feature screenings of Women in the Dirt; a movie about the groundbreaking work of seven landscape architects. Their projects combine awareness of architectural and landscape principles, concern with sustainability, safety and beauty. The scope of their work ranges from private homes to vast public projects. Through conversations with the landscape architects in their offices, or in the stunning spaces they've designed, the film explores each woman's personal aesthetics and approach to their discipline. Women in the Dirt shows how these ''masters of the obvious'' create the sublime. Produced and directed by Carolann Stoney

Pre-registration for the event closes September 30th. By pre-registering, you will receive an Express Badge allowing you entry into the Expo hall without waiting in line. Tickets will be available for purchase at the door for $15.
