The IECA puts on a Grand Show!

EC 12, as they called it was held at The Rio hotel in Las Vegas Nevada, February 26th to 29th. The four-day show consisted of over 100 one hour, half-day and full-day seminars, 153 exhibitors and just under 1900 attendees.

Attendees came from all over the United States as well as Europe, India and South America. One attendee from Belgium said, ?EUR??,,????'??We don?EUR??,,????'???t have anything like this back home, it is a great learning experience.?EUR??,,????'??

Although the show was a total of four days, the expo hall was open two days (February 28th and 29th), more than enough time for attendees to visit vendor booths. Throughout each day there were door prizes given away, one lucky person walked away with a new iPad2, others won Visa gift cards and smaller technological gadgets.

Seminars were held all four days of the show (beginning on February 26th). Educational topics included slope stabilization, stream restoration, vegetative establishment, stormwater management, wetlands technology, erosion and sediment control, beach and shoreline stabilization and wind erosion technology.

On Wednesday the show hours were shorter, perhaps to prepare for the IECA?EUR??,,????'???s 40th birthday bash, held from 4:00 to 6:00 pm. The party was complete with food, drinks, entertainment and cash prizes, making it the perfect place to mingle with industry folk. All in all it was a very classy show that offered the most up to date information about erosion and erosion products.
