The 2010 Landscape Expo?EUR??,,????'?????<

Only one week remains before the doors open to the 2010 Landscape Expo, Oct. 6-7, at the Long Beach Convention Center in Long Beach, Calif. The show runs from 9:00 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. daily.




In the newly expanded exhibit hall, attendees will have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with exhibitors at the 2010 Landscape Expo, Oct. 6-7 at the Long Beach Convention Center.

Celebrating its 50th anniversary, this year's show features an expanded exhibit hall of almost three acres, dozens of educational seminars, several special activities and exhibits, and about $7,500 in cash and prize giveaways. All landscape professionals involved in the design, build and maintenance aspects of the industry should attend the expo.

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet face-to-face with vendors showcasing the latest tools, equipment, products and design elements required to create and maintain commercial and residential landscapes, including: water management, turf care, landscape supplies, commercial trucks and vehicles, plant materials, site amenities, outdoor living and design elements, and much, much, more.




Backyard X-Scapes, a leading retailer of backyard products, bamboo, water fountains, planters and pottery, and tropical d????????(R)???????+???????(R)???????(C)cor, will be giving away this Bamboo Tiki Bar (valued at $500) during the expo. Make sure to visit their exhibit at booth #353 for your chance to win.

A special, brief panel discussion, organized by the SCC/ASLA and CLASS Fund, will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 6, at 3:00 p.m., poolside at the Hyatt Regency Long Beach. Immediately following the panel discussion will be a 50th Anniversary after-show party. Live music, performed by Squeeze Box, is being provided by the SCTC. Cost to attend this event is $25 per person and includes two beverages and appetizers. Tickets can be purchased online at tiny.cc./TLEParty.

The topic of the panel discussion is 2011 - What Lies Ahead in Construction, Design, Irrigation and the Public Sector. The panelists are Marty Mcphee, Executive Vice President at Park West Companies; Rob Sawyer, Principal, Land Concern; Steve Hohl, Director, Water Concerns; and Anna Mendiola, Park Development Officer, Parks, Recreation and Marine, City of Long Beach.
