TYLER, TEXAS?EUR??,,????'??+Tyler Junior College already has some breathtaking gardens and now it?EUR??,,????'???s going to expand its beauty with help from a landscape architect. Naud Burnett, recognized for his involvement with the Dallas community and dedication to the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden, has established design conceptions for seven gardens at Tyler Junior College. ?EUR??,,????'??We are delighted to be able to have someone of the stature of Naud Burnett assist with this project,?EUR??,,????'?? said Mitch Andrews, TJC director of principal gifts. ?EUR??,,????'??The advisory committee is thrilled with his concepts and we look forward to sharing them with others who may be able to assist with the establishment of the TJC Botanical Gardens.?EUR??,,????'?? As soon as the college receives its funding of $1.4 million, it will break ground for the two initial gardens for Mahon Street and Museum, said Andrews. That could take two to three years and the remaining gardens of Jenkins Court Yard, Brundrett, Education, Arts and Event Gardens will proceed with funding. Donations will come from private organizations or individuals. ?EUR??,,????'??The gardens will flow from one into the other in the center part of the main campus,?EUR??,,????'?? said Andrews. ?EUR??,,????'??Signage will lead to the other five gardens.?EUR??,,????'?? Texas is well-known for its azaleas and roses. Andrews said part of the design concept will be to possibly introduce new garden specimens and help to preserve species not indigenous to the area.
