The 2024 Conference Theme is "PIVOT." The climate crisis has reached a critical turning point. Texas ASLA has an opportunity to refocus, and adjust the scope and direction of our practice towards new ideas, products and solutions. By leveraging the collective experience and knowledge of our profession, we can PIVOT toward sustainability and climate positivity. Award Winners
Our "Gasmer - Industrial to Park Redevelopment" project won an Honor award from TX ASLA in Design Unrealized.
Our "Envision Taylor" Comprehensive Plan won a Vernon Deines Award for Comprehensive Plan from the Small Town and Rural Planning Division of the American Planning Association.
Our intern, now full time landscape designer, Andrew Lesmes' student project, "Tilth and Tanks" won a Student Merit Award from the TX ASLA.

Projects
Our Brodie Oaks Redevelopment Project was successfully re-zoned - one step closer to delivering on this ambitions project. The project is setting a new precedent in Austin. One paper made it a verb by wishing more shopping centers could be "Brodie-Oaksified."

Events Past and Future
We had monthly office social outings ranging from walking tours of new landscape projects (Waterloo Greenway) to Bowling and Blazer Tag.
