The Lawn Academy is an organization that leads Detroit teens down a path of community contribution while assisting the elderly and disabled with lawn care and snow removal.

On July 18, Lawn Academy, a program that inspires teens in Detroit to provide free lawn care and snow removal to seniors and disabled residents, was robbed. Security cameras recorded the thieves cutting locks and stealing equipment. The perpetrators are still at large.

All of Lawn Academy's supplies were stolen, totaling $4,000. While this is a great loss, the organization that runs solely on donations has continued to service the residents of Detroit since the crime occurred.
