Landscape architect Thomas Tavella, LLA, LEED AP, a vice president in the Glastonbury, Conn. office of the Boston-based BSC Group, a multidisciplinary planning and engineering firm, has been elected vice president of communications for the American Society of Landscape Architects. Mr. Tavella has more than 20 years of planning and design experience on projects in New England. He recently led the development of an award-winning master plan for Oyster Shell Park on the Norwalk River in Connecticut. He has also provided the landscape design for UConn?EUR??,,????'???s Burton Family Football Complex, said to be the first NCAA facility to be LEED-certified.
Mr. Tavella has held positions as the ASLA?EUR??,,????'???s Council of Professional Practice Networks and Public Relations Advisory Committee, a Connecticut Chapter trustee to the ASLA Board of Trustees and president of the Connecticut ASLA Chapter.
