Tired of dodging head-down "smart" phone using pedestrians on the sidewalks? Tired of being in public spaces with zombies so disengaged from their surroundings that you're about as likely to make eye contact with them as your are with Medusa? Tired of having to listen to inane cell phone chatter? Check, check and check. Kit Kat to the rescue. No, not a new super hero dressed like a chocolate covered wafer, but a campaign by the candy brand, in conjunction with an Amsterdam advertising agency, to create "Free No Wi-Fi Zones" throughout downtown Amsterdam. The brand's "Have a break, have a Kit Kat" slogan has been altered to "Have a break"?(R)?from Wi-Fi" by placing signal jammers around benches, encouraging people to sit and maybe have a face-to-face conversation with a person, or just relax and people watch. Yes, it's time for a break from Wi-Fi. How about a break from Congress?
