SWAT Releases Sprinkler Nozzle Testing





The updated version 3.2 of the Spray Head Sprinkler Nozzles Performance Characteristics reduces the number of tests performed and measures how nozzles perform individually and in groups of two defined shapes: a square and a circle.


Smart Water Application Technologies released version 3.2 of the Spray Head Sprinkler Nozzles Performance Characteristics for public comment. Feedback is due April 1.

The testing protocol is intended for nozzles that are used in pop-up spray sprinkler bodies and can include both spray and multi-stream, multi-trajectory rotating nozzles. The protocol evaluates nozzle performance based on flow rate and distance of throw.
