StormCon Coming

The StormCon keynote speaker will be Jean-Michel Cousteau, explorer, environmentalist, educator, and award winning film producer.

StormCon hosts the 3rd Annual North American Surface Water Quality Conference and Exposition July 26-29, 2004 in Palm Desert, California. Challenged by the realities of NPDES Phase II compliance? Looking for the latest information on BMP research and evaluation? In need of the latest stormwater equipment and technologies? Hundreds of stormwater professionals will participate in a focused series of workshops to provide information in these areas and help solve community surface water-quality problems.

The opening event keynote speaker will be Jean-Michel Cousteau, explorer, environmentalist, educator, and award winning film producer. His Ocean Futures Society, a nonprofit marine conservation and education organization, has been called the ?EUR??,,????'??voice for the ocean?EUR??,,????'?? for developing marine education programs. Mr. Cousteau continues in his father?EUR??,,????'???s footsteps as a passionate spokesman for environmental issues.

The educational component of the conference includes 40 educational workshops presented under four conference tracks:

1. Meeting the Regulatory Challenge
2. Stormwater Best Management Practices
3. Monitoring Water Quality; and
4. Managing the Stormwater Program

Among the highlights of the course schedule are:
