Stone Mountain Park has begun work on a year-long, $3.5 million restoration project for the Memorial Lawn.
The project will remove concession stands currently on the lawn, relocate production towers that hinder access to the lawn, improve lighting, restore the terraces and widen walkways. The work should wrap up by the end of summer 2010.
