Idaho Nursery & Landscape Association

In January, the members of the association changed its name from the Idaho Nursery Association to the Idaho Nursery & Landscape Association (INLA). The board recommended the name change to better reflect the members we serve.

September 27 marked the third Certified Landscape Technician exam held here in the state. We had 13 candidates. The CLT program is a national certification and the Idaho Nursery & Landscape Association (INLA) is the state administrator. This requires over 40 volunteers, which our industry has stepped up and fulfilled. Our partners include Boise State University (the test site) and the Idaho Irrigation and Equipment Association (IIEA). BSU provides the grounds; people from the industry side, INLA and IIEA, have supplied the materials to build the site

The third news-worthy item is of particular interest to our landscape contractors, the annual Field Day. October 10 marked the second time we have held the event. This is an outdoor equipment show that allows attendees the opportunity to test equipment in a hands-on environment.

The INLA's second annual Field Day allowed attendees to test equipment.
