Arizona Landscape Contractors?EUR??,,????'??? Association

Arizona contractors, landscape architects and landscape designers were honored at the 27th annual Arizona Excellence in Landscaping awards program in November 2003 at the Prescott Resort Conference Center and Casino. The Arizona Landscape Contractors?EUR??,,????'??? Association (ALCA) sponsored the awards. This year, Donna Winters of Enchanted Garden Landscape, Inc., in Phoenix accepted the ?EUR??,,????'??Best of Show?EUR??,,????'?? Presidential award for the outstanding innovative work on the Stadheim residence in the category of single-family residential installation ($250,000 to $350,000).

Michael Rockwell of Azul-Verde Design Group, Inc., received the Xeriscape award for the Heller residence.

The prestigious Landscape Contractor of the Year award went to J. Boyce of Boyce Landscape, Inc., for his outstanding service to the association and the industry.

Walter ?EUR??,,????'??Bud?EUR??,,????'?? Stephenson of Caretaker Landscape Management, Inc., was honored with the Lifetime Achievement award. Bud has played a major role in ALCA, serving as treasurer and president in 1993.

Rick Simzyk, of Hughes Supply, garnered the Outstanding Customer Service award for building the highest standards in industry customer services. The Budding Contractor of the Year went to Norm Farmer, president of Horizons West Landscape Company. Associate Member of the Year went to Nate Gould of Hunter Industries.

Thirty-seven other projects received awards in 19 different categories of residential and commercial areas of installation, maintenance and interiorscape projects. Judging is based on projects designed and constructed in Arizona by professional contractors and on technical and aesthetic aspects set forth by the Arizona Landscape Contractors?EUR??,,????'??? Association.

The Excellence in Landscaping awards program is one of the most successful state landscape award competitions in the nation.

The Presidential award was given to Donna Winters with Enchanted Garden Landscape, Inc., for the Stadheim residence.
