Southwest Horticulture Annual Day of Education (SHADE)

Green industry professionals from landscape architects and designers, to arborists, wholesalers and retailers will be able to accumulate CEUs from SHADE’s three tracks: Water and Design, Trees and Turf, and Plant Health. SHADE’s one day education program debuts August 12, 2005, at the Wyndham Buttes Resort in Tempe, Arizona, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. The Arizona Department of Agriculture (ADA) has approved six hours of CEUs for SHADE’s Plant Health, Track 3: the Irrigation Association (IA) has approved 1.25 hours each for two of the four sessions in Track 1: Water and Design; the Western Chapter International Society of Arboriculture (WCISA) has approved 2.5 CEUs for two of the four sessions in Track 2: Trees and Turf; the Structural Pest Control Commission (SPCC) has tentatively approved 6 CEU hours; and the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA) has approved .40 education points for the whole program. We also are anticipating CEU approval from the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA). The cost is $75 per person and includes lunch.
