A new screened pavilion will be built at the Nature Pavilion at Pine Island Conservation Area in Brevard County, Fla. thanks to the Parks Build Community Campaign. School groups and the public will enjoy wildlife viewing, arts and crafts, and the outdoors.

The NRPA and The Walt Disney Company, including Disney Citizenship, Disney|ABC Television Group and ESPN, have announced the winners of the national Parks Build Community campaign, which helps revitalize and restore local parks and park programs. Throughout Earth Month in April, the public voted to direct grant funding for park improvement projects.

Fifteen park projects were selected and each received a $20,000 grant to help make improvements or expand programs. Pennypack Environmental Center in Philadelphia was the write-in winner and will also receive a $20,000 grant.
