The Grand Garden Show in Mackinac Island, Mich. is part of a series of shows that include ones in Milwaukee, Wis., Minneapolis, Minn.,
and Grand Rapids, Mich.

Earlier this month, Mackinac Island, Mich., was the location for the Grand Garden show, attended by over 550 gardening enthusiasts. During the three-day event, attendees were able to tour eleven private, never before seen gardens, and learn about a wide variety of gardening topics from many presenters including P. Allen Smith.

The Grand Garden Show is an extension of the one-day events around North America hosted by Proven Winners. In spring of 2014 the Outdoor Living Extravaganzas will be held in Milwaukee, Wis., on February 1, Minneapolis, Minn., on February 8, and Grand Rapids, Mich. On March 8. Plans for a 2014 Grand Garden Show are already underway.

Dan Musser III, president of Grand Hotel, said ''The first annual Grand Garden Show was even better than we could have anticipated. The vision for the event by island gardener Jack Barnwell made the weekend a success.''
