Schoor DePalma Goes Back to School

MANALAPAN, NJ?EUR??,,????'??+ The South Plainfield Board of Education (BOE) in South Plainfield, NJ, selected Schoor DePalma, a leading engineering and consulting firm, as its engineer of record. The company will offer full engineering and consulting services for projects at the district?EUR??,,????'???s seven schools during the 2004 school year.

Specifically, Schoor DePalma will provide South Plainfield schools with structural and facility improvements to school buildings; recommendations for traffic safety improvements; and improvements to traffic flow in school parking lots. Prior to working with Schoor DePalma, the school district handled all engineering work through its internal buildings and grounds department.

Schoor DePalma was selected by the BOE because of the company?EUR??,,????'???s full services engineering expertise, its knowledge of energy and environmental design principles, and its previous experience in working with the boards of education for Atlantic City and New Hope/Solebury, Penn.

In Atlantic City, the company has been involved in numerous engineering projects including the replacement of school rooftops and the conversion of school boiler burners from oil to natural gas. Schoor DePalma also has worked with New Hope/Solebury on the complete mechanical and electrical design for a new 84,000 square foot elementary school.
