Daylight enters the building from roof to ground level through the full height central atrium where steel staircases and walkways allow access across and between floors. Mezzanine levels offer additional space for faculty offices, which overlook the open plan design studios below.

The pre-cast concrete exterior cladding is articulated by deep shelf-like openings, which hold aluminum sun-shading louvers. Vertical on the east and west facades and horizontal on the south, the shading is designed to allow views outward whilst minimizing heat gain.
