Sales Up for Ohio?EUR??,,????'???s Green Industry

 

A 2005 Ohio state economic impact study of the green industry reports the industry grew 48 percent in sales revenue in four years: from $2.79 billion in 2001 to $4.13 billion in 2005. The largest segment of Ohio's green industry is landscape services, at $1.9 billion in 2005 sales. Retail garden centers sales reached $677 million in 2005; wholesale nursery sales peaked at $701 million.

Ohio?EUR??,,????'???s nursery and landscape industry employs over 241,735 workers, with a payroll of $3.12 billion. Those workers pay approximately $491 million in taxes.
