The Professional Landcare Network (PLANET) has announced eight additional participants in their STARS safety program. It seeks to encourage best safety practices in an effort to take safety to ?EUR??,,????'??the next level?EUR??,,????'?? throughout the green industry.


The Professional Landcare Network (PLANET) has announced the addition of eight lawn care and landscape companies to the STARS Safe Company Program, sponsored by CNA and Husqvarna. STARS is a free safety initiative developed by PLANET to assist green industry companies in lowering total risk costs by reducing hazards and injuries.

Participants are asked to sign the STARS Safe Company Pledge that commits them to join in the mission of moving the entire green industry toward safety excellence through active involvement, sharing experiences, and becoming a mentor for ?EUR??,,????'??living safety.?EUR??,,????'?? STARS members also commit to using the Safety Program for Green Industry Companies CD as a guideline. They investigate and document every job-related injury, incident, or accident. STARS members also are asked to participate in PLANET?EUR??,,????'???s Safety Recognition Awards Program, comply with all OSHA postings and other regulatory requirements, share best practices with fellow STARS members, and encourage other companies to become STARS members.
