DALLAS - Rex Dixon, newly elected president of the Irrigation Association, recently announced the creation of The Rex Dixon Consulting Group. Designed to focus primarily on the irrigation industry, the new organization will offer a full range of management consulting services.

Dixon's expertise in sales and marketing has lead to the creation of "innovative internal systems, breakthrough marketing programs and spirited and highly professional sales teams" at each of his corporate positions.

"As the parameters of the landscape and irrigation industry react to economic and social changes, companies must stay in step by fine-tuning their game plans," Dixon said. "Last year's thinking does not guarantee next year's success."

In his more than 25 years of irrigation experience, Dixon has held senior management positions with Rain Bird, The Toro Company/Irritrol Systems, James Hardie Irrigation, Weathermatic and LR Nelson.
