Response has been pouring in to LASN Editor Steve Kelly's email asking landscape architects across the country whether they agree or disagree with President Trump's decision to pull out of the Paris agreement. While the majority of respondents cited a need to remain focused on environmental issues, at this point, the majority of those who supported Trump's decision cited the bad deal America was getting, the cost to American taxpayers, and the lack of restrictions on other countries as justification in agreement. For those who are opposed, well over half cited their reason as philosophically in support of anything that helps the environment, without stating specific reasons or elements of the agreement that they were lamenting being lost. Another solid percentage (15-20%) of those opposed were strictly anti-Trump, half of those laced with profanity. Click here to read comments from LASN readers.
