The prestigious Streetlife Design Competition, in collaboration with Landezine, is calling on students and young professionals to transform neglected urban spaces into vibrant and meaningful areas through innovative design. This year's theme, "Lost Sites," focuses on reclaiming urban spaces that have been forgotten, neglected, or adversely affected by urbanization, inappropriate design, or even war. The competition seeks visionary solutions that address critical spatial issues such as sustainability, inclusivity, climate resilience, urban biodiversity, and the empowerment of local communities.Open to multidisciplinary teams of designers, architects, industrial designers, visual artists, and social scientists, this competition encourages creative collaboration. Teams are tasked with selecting their own "lost site" in European or North American territories-ranging from urban centers to suburban margins-spanning no more than 1 hectare. Importantly, the winning projects will not be built but will instead serve as strong conceptual works that inspire real-world change. Participants may also choose to collaborate with local communities to develop actionable plans.
