WOODLAND, Calif. - McClintock Metal, the manufacturer of SECURRR™ recycling containers was awarded the 2001 Waste Reduction Award.

This honor is awarded annually by the California Integrated Waste Management Board to companies that demonstrate leadership in waste reduction.

"It's great to see how creative and innovative California businesses can be when it comes to reducing waste," said Waste Board Chair Linda Moulton Patterson. "On behalf of the Board, I am pleased to recognize the outstanding efforts of these organizations to reduce, reuse, recycle and buy recycled-content products."

Each SECURRR™ prouct is manufactured using steel with at least 20 percent recycled content, so even the recycling containers have a part in reducing waste.

"Our recycling containers, animal-proof trash and food lockers and even our site amenities use the recycled steel in their construction," said Linda Ireland-Surry, Product Manager. "We believe that we sould do everything we ask our customers to do and we are proud to accept this award."
