Ready for Spring!-Northwest Flower & Garden Show

Among the 29 sample gardens on display will be this ?EUR??,,????'??Italian Romance,?EUR??,,????'?? designed by Garth Christopherson, created by ProGrass Landscape Care & Design, Wilsonville, Oregon. Weeping Alaskan cedar, purple fountain European beech, lion's head Japanese maple, spring bulbs, perennials, and a broad variety of foliage highlight the courtyard patio design.

The Northwest Flower & Garden Show, Feb. 9-13, 2005 at the Seattle Convention Center, will display fully landscaped display gardens designed by top regional landscape designers and nurseries, offering ideas for environmental practices, creative use of small spaces, and new twists on old traditions.

The show also features a marketplace (for spring garden essentials), plant market, flora fantasia, container garden exhibition, a floral competition, and 115 seminars by Sunset.

Speakers include gardening and design author Noel Kingsbury (England); author Wayne Winterrowd (Annuals and Tender Plants for North American Gardens and co-author of A Year at North Hill : Four Seasons in a Vermont Garden; Dan Hinkley, plant explorer, nurseryman; and Brent Heath, bulb expert.
