Rainstore³ System for Harvesting  and Reuse of Water

Invisible Structures' Grasspave² and Gravelpave² can infiltrate directly into a Rainstore³ rainwater harvesting chamber. A Rainstore³ chamber was installed under a parking lot in Broomfield, Colo. The chamber produces high water storage capacity at shallow depths, flexibility in design and the convenience of exfiltration. Owners used these features to develop this site for new construction.

Invisible Structures has created a new class of subsurface water storage system, Rainstore³. It is not pipe or arched chamber, but a structure with strength throughout its shape. The unique design places the plastic entirely in compression rather than bending or tension, resulting in an excess of H-20 loading, and high void storage volume of 94 percent. Minimum cover is only 12 inches.

The structure can be as shallow as 4 inches or as deep as 94 inches, and with any length and width in 40-inch increments. This product eliminates site restrictions by conforming to custom project requirements.

Rainstore³ does not require any stone backfill between structures. Calculating the void (storage) volume is as simple as dividing storage demand by 94 percent. This means significant savings in amount of excavation, soil transport, imported stone, installation time and labor.

Rainstore³ can be utilized for long-term water storage for irrigation, fire protection, toilet flushing and potable by encasing the structures in an impervious liner.
