Rain Sensor Rules Expand

Moisture sensor legislation is being considered in Delaware, Massachusetts, Connecticut and Georgia. Legislation would require the installation of moisture sensing technology on landscape irrigation systems. Other states already have moisture/rain sensor requirements, and local communities are following. Cities like Bourne, Mass., have implemented ordinances requiring sensors. This trend is likely to continue as pressure on existing water supplies and infrastructure increase with expanding population.
