Rain Sensor Rebates in Polk County




In an effort to promote outdoor water conservation, Polk County, Fl., is offering rebates to customers with documented rain sensor costs up to $50. The rebate is intended to help save participants up to 100 gallons of water per day, which averages approximately 10 percent off their annual water bill.

Polk County, in cooperation with the Southwest Florida Water Management District, is currently offering rebates to customers with documented rain sensor costs up to $50.

Aimed at promoting outdoor water conservation, the rebates are available for single-family, multi-family and commercial customers throughout the county?EUR??,,????'?????<

Roughly 50 percent of Polk County?EUR??,,????'?????<

Residential or business water customers who use drinking water for irrigation systems installed before Jan. 1, 1991 and do not have a working rain sensor are eligible to participate. After a customer sends in a completed application form, an authorized Polk County Utilities representative will verify correct rain sensor installation and issue the rebate check.

The program will end on Aug. 31, 2011 or when funds are exhausted, whichever occurs first.
