Most people are quite aware of the pressure-regulating products available for use inside the home, like showerheads and toilets. However, most are unaware of the availability and benefits of pressure-regulating products designed for outdoor use. Now, Rain Bird is launching a new initiative designed to educate and inform irrigation professionals and homeowners about the many water-saving benefits of pressure-regulating irrigation system components. The initiative, dubbed Project PRS, kicked off on July 1 as Smart Irrigation Month officially began. "Rain Bird offers both sprays and rotors with in-stem pressure regulation," said Shannon Geno, product manager. "We've tested these products outdoors in real-world conditions, and we've found that they can save significant amounts of water at sites with high or fluctuating water pressure."
