Randy Boudrero and Craig Widmier of MHTN Architects, Inc. Their use of Rain Bird drip irrigation saved an estimated 765,000 gallons of water in one month alone, about a 48 percent savings over the normal campus landscape water use.

Contractors Sid and Salle Morse of BIO Landscape & Maintenance, Inc. (Huston) won the installation portion of the contest. BIO contracts many jobs with the Texas Department of Transportation that require extensive watering.

Each winner was awarded a five-day, all-expense paid trip to Pasadena, Calif. to take part in Rose Bowl festivities with their families, including a visit to Disney's California Adventure Park, a New Year's Eve dinner/dance, watching the Rose Parade from grandstand seats and attending the Rose Bowl game. Winners were invited to help decorate Rain Bird's float, which won its sixth Rose Parade Sweepstakes Trophy for ?EUR??,,????'??most beautiful float,?EUR??,,????'?? and to view the floats prior to the Rose Parade and attend the float judging.

Entries for the 2006 Xerigation Design and Installation contests will be accepted starting March 1, 2005. For more info, visit www.rainbird.com
