The Southside Community Land Trust (Trust) of Providence, R.I., has received $25,000 to help the Springfield Middle School create a garden on the site of a former solid waste dump. The money derives from the EPA’s Environmental Justice Small Grants program, which has also funded grants to other New England states?EUR??,,????'??+Connecticut, Massachusetts and Vermont.
Partnering with the Springfield Middle School on the project are an RLA, the Olneyville Community Schools Initiative, the Rhode Island Departments of Health and Environmental Management, city of Providence and the Hartford Park Tenant?EUR??,,????'???s Association.
