The Office of Foreign Labor Certification has a free ombudsman program to provide explanations and information on H2B filings.

If after completing H2B filings, questions and concerns arise, the Office of Foreign Labor Certification has an ombudsman program to help resolve them.

This free program conducts independent and impartial reviews of the administration of a specific filing to provide answers, supply information on various issues, and try to reach equitable solutions.

As listed on the U.S. Department of Labor's website, the H-2B Ombudsman Program may be able to help if:
• You are facing an emergency or hardship that you believe may have been caused by a mistake, error, or delay in the processing of your H-2B application.
• You are experiencing a problem with your H-2B application that you have not been able to resolve with the OLFC's National Processing Center.
• Your H-2B application is pending beyond statutory or regulatory processing times and you do not know or understand what is causing a delay.

The H-2B Ombudsman Program is not able to help if:
• You are seeking legal advice.
• You are seeking assistance in filling out an H-2B application.
• You are presenting concerns or issues which are hypothetical in nature or otherwise involve H-2B applications that have not yet been filed.
• You are seeking the reversal of an official action or decision by the NPC. (There is an appeals process to deal with that).
• You are seeking assistance with an issue that does not fall within the authority of the OFLC and its administration of the H-2B Program.
