Joseph Y. Yamada graduated from University of California, Berkeley in 1952. He has been working hard to improve the landscape all over the southern California region and has done so successfully for decades. His success has warranted the numerous awards he has received over the years. Such awards include the ASLA Award of Merit, Housing and Home Finance Agency in 1964 and many more. He was inducted as a Fellow of the American Society of Landscape Architects in 1979.
