Most notable professional accomplishments:

My most notable contribution to the profession may well be the love and enthusiasm for landscape architecture instilled in students and younger colleagues in the classroom at the University of Delaware or in actual work experience, through personal contacts with outstanding professionals and through exposure to great designs, both historical and contemporary. For 40 years I represented the famous Brazilian landscape architect Roberto Burle Marx in the USA. I scheduled his lectures and organized and furnished materials for the one-man show of his work at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City, and for his Medal Award by the ASLA in Cincinnati. My own practice included residential and public projects such as the Stream Garden for Mr. And Mrs. Frederick in Hockessin, Del., and Columbus Park in Binghamton, N.Y., which introduced the concepts in play equipment since then much copied by industry. Projects in collaboration with Roberto Burle Marx and Cia including the Cascade Garden at Longwood Gardens, Pa. and concept drawings for Biscayne Boulevard in Miami, Fla.
