Students will climb trees, build patios, dig ditches, identify horticulture specimens and maneuver dangerous machinery through courses competitively. All in order to prove they are the best and brightest in their field and to earn scholarships and recognition from some of the country?EUR??,,????'?????<

Rain or shine, the 24 individual and team competitive events will be held, ranging from personnel management, sales presentations and exterior/interior design to irrigation troubleshooting, wood construction, equipment operation, patio installation, tree climbing and more.

The competitions are designed to provide an opportunity for students to demonstrate their skills and to validate what they have learned in school.

PLANET Student Career Days also draws the largest national gathering of landscape, lawn care and interiorscape employment recruiters. Students often forfeit their spring breaks in order to participate. The event also serves as a resource for employees in the green industry. A career fair occurs during the event and offers students the opportunity to interview with green industry companies for internships and full-time positions.
