New 100,000 Sq. Foot Fitness & Wellness Facility

HOFFMAN ESTATES, IL

Prairie Stone, a 780-acre corporate office park owned by Sears Roebuck & Co. and developed by The John Buck Company, is pleased to announce its continued expansion with the development of a new 100,000-square-foot fitness and wellness facility as well as a 10,000-square-foot childcare center.

Also new at Prairie Stone, Two Park Center will serve as the new corporate headquarters of Homelife Corporation. The Hoffman Estates, Illinois, office park initially developed in the early 1990's, continues to enhance its facility with added conveniences designed to meet the needs of the rapidly expanding community.

Arriving at Prairie Stone in fall 2000 is the 100,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art Prairie Stone Sports and Wellness Center, operated by the Hoffman Estates Park District.

The new facility will include:

•sophisticated exercise equipment

•basketball and volleyball courts

•two swimming pools

•three indoor tennis courts

•a 40-foot climbing wall

•an indoor track

•whirlpools

•steam rooms

•a daycare center

•and community meeting rooms.

In the first quarter of 2000, KinderCare Learning Centers Inc. will open its first Hoffman Estates location at Prairie Stone. Designed by Aragona Associates Architects, the center will accommodate approximately 175 children between the ages of six weeks and five years. The new childcare center will feature an outdoor Playscape to further enhance and stimulate learning and development.
