The Prairie Gateway Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects has been honoring the outstanding contributions to the practice of landscape architecture since the year 2000. Awards are given in the following categories: Design (built), Design (unbuilt), Planning and Analysis, Research and Communications.

Award competitions are further separated into professional and student categories to recognize the achievements of both practitioners and students.

Parking Day was recently held on September 18 and was a huge success! A big shout-out to the KSU SC/ASLA chapter for taking home the gold for their parklet! Thank you to Miranda Schmidt for spearheading the PG/ASLA parklets! And a special thank you to the vendors and sponsors that contributed items to make these parklets so fantastic!

On October 27th the PG/ASLA Annual Meeting was held at Top Golf in Overland Park.
