Strategic Planning
In April, we held a strategic planning session, led by Elizabeth Hebron from National ASLA. The collaboration and innovative ideas that emerged from this gathering helped us create our first strategic plan, which we have officially adopted.

Alton Thomas Award - Katie Kingery-Page
The Alton Thomas award is PGASLA's highest honor and only given to a member, affiliate, outstanding citizen, or community leader who has performed above and beyond what would be considered normal; Katie Kingery-Page, ASLA - the associate dean at the College of Architecture, Planning, and Design at Kansas State University - received the 2024 Alton Thomas award.

MetroGreen Visionary Award - Little Blue Trace Trail
This award is given to the city, county, or governmental agency that conducts outstanding efforts to promote trails and greenways. The 15.5-mile Little Blue Trace Trail in Jackson County forms a north-south backbone of the MetroGreen plan and is set along the Little Blue River.

Kessler Legacy Award - Linda Hall Library Arboretum
This award recognizes works of landscape architecture that have endured in the Prairie Gateway region and are a viable component of our regional landscape heritage. Linda Hall Library Arboretum is a testament to botanical exploration and conservation.

Advocacy Days
Several of our members participated in Advocacy Days, advocating for the interests of our profession with passion and diligence.
