Potomac/Maryland ASLA Chapter Design Awards




Mahan Rykiel Associates (MRA), a Baltimore based landscape architectural, urban design and planning firm, took home two awards from the Maryland and Potomac ASLA chapters: the Vue Rooftop Garden in Inner Harbor East (Honor Award), and the Wyman Park Dell master plan (Merit Award). Wyman was conceived and designed by the Olmsted Brothers.The Vue (pictured) is two blocks from the Baltimore Harbor and a new addition to the Harbor East redevelopment, combining office, hotel and condominiums. The rooftop plaza features extensive green space, a large open lawn, flowering trees, a fountain, paving patterns and textured plant masses.

The Maryland and Potomac Chapters of the American Society of Landscape Architects presented their 2008 design awards/banquet December 9 at the Baltimore Hilton Convention Hotel. The awards were selected by a jury of peers. This year?EUR??,,????'?????<
